What summarizes well

A summary is only as good as what the video says or shows. Scribiz reads the speech, and on a link it can read the screen too. You get a one sentence summary, key points and chapters, each tied to a time.

VideoWhat you get
LectureA one sentence summary, key points and chapters.
MeetingDecisions and action items, when the recording has them.
TutorialThe steps in order, with on-screen text in Watch.
Product demoA short summary plus the screens that were shown.

Checking and cost

Key points and chapters are matched to the transcript, so a timestamp is where the words were said. A model writes the summary and can leave things out, so open the timestamps that matter. For slides and demos, the video analyzer lists every scene.

Words only uses captions when a link has good ones, at a tenth of a minute per minute of video, and listens otherwise at one. Words and screen uses two. The MCP server gives an agent the same summary, and minutes and billing lists every mode.

Limits

Files: 100 MB and about 50 minutes of audio in the browser, Listen only. Without an account: videos up to 15 minutes, 10 Listen or Watch minutes a day and 30 caption lookups a day. A free account takes videos up to 2 hours and 30 minutes a month. Pro takes 6 hours and 600 minutes a month, and is not on sale yet. A video that already has captions uses a tenth of a minute per minute of video. TikTok and Instagram links are best effort.

Questions

Anything where the content is in the talking or on the slides: lectures, meetings, tutorials, interviews and demos. Music videos and fast montages summarize poorly.

Yes. Drop the MP4 or the audio file on the box above and only the audio is uploaded. For a recording over 100 MB or about 50 minutes, save the audio as an MP3 or M4A first, or cut it into parts.

Often. Both are best effort on the web, so if a link fails, upload the file. The sources and limits page says which links work where.

Yes, with Watch or Both on a link. If nothing on screen is worth noting, the result says so. The run still uses its minutes: one per minute of video for Watch, two for Both.

Yes, on the result page. A question uses a tenth of a minute, and without an account you get five a day.

The audio is deleted when the job ends. The result is a private link, kept 24 hours, or 30 days with an account.
