Scribiz for Mac

Not out yet

Queue files, get context. A file is never uploaded whole. Only its audio, or a small low-resolution copy for Watch, leaves your Mac.

One email when it ships.

macOS 14 or later. Windows and Linux: use the web tool.

CLI

The same engine from a terminal. Sign in to a free Scribiz account with scribiz login, or use your own Gemini key with scribiz setup. Needs Node 24 and ffmpeg, plus yt-dlp for most links. Tested on macOS only.

Terminal
$ npm install -g scribiz$ scribiz login

CLI docs

MCP server

Every client

No install: the web tool

Paste a link or drop a file, up to 100 MB and about 50 minutes of audio. A file is never uploaded whole. Open the tool.

Questions

macOS 14 or later.

Only the audio and, for Watch, a small low-resolution copy, and only if you choose hosted processing. A local file is never uploaded whole.

Use the web tool, in any browser. The command-line tool has been tested on macOS only, so Linux and Windows are untried.

A signed, notarized build is not released yet, so there is nothing to download. Put your email on the list above and you get one email when it is out.
