Source captions and timestamps

Keep the original caption words, language and cue times. Every transcript carries its video title and source link. Missing or incomplete captions have their own status, so the rest of your batch can finish.

Caption retrieval uses existing text. To generate summaries or read what is on screen, choose a separate media tool. To transcribe a video without captions, use Listen.

Bulk transcripts in your scripts and AI tools

Use the same account and caption credits on the web, in the CLI, over the API, or through the MCP server. Preview a selection, create a private batch, follow each video and export its results.

Combine lectures for NotebookLM or ChatGPT, index caption text for research, or keep source links with your notes. Check your AI tool's current file and source limits before uploading a large combined file.

Frequently asked questions

One new successful caption transcript costs one caption credit, regardless of video length. Your account starts with 30 free credits. Purchased credits never expire. Stored reads, exports, failures and retries of a delivered transcript cost no extra credits.

Only videos with accessible existing captions can finish in this tool. Missing tracks, unavailable languages, temporary blocks and incomplete responses have separate statuses. The batch continues, and unsuccessful videos use no caption credits. To transcribe a video without captions, choose Listen separately.

Automatic and creator-uploaded captions both work. The transcript keeps the source language and cue timestamps. When the source does not identify whether the selected track is automatic or manual, the result says unknown. Scribiz does not rewrite the speech in a caption-only request.

You can select up to 1,000 videos in a batch. Channel discovery can stop at its count or time limit and return a partial listing. The preview says when that happens. Split larger archives into playlists or supply video URLs. A 10,000-video archive is not one supported batch.

Download individual TXT, Markdown, SRT, VTT or JSON files. The ZIP includes a TXT and SRT file for each available video and CSV and JSON manifests. Combined Markdown and TXT files keep titles, links, order and cue timestamps. Batch results are private and expire after 30 days.

Yes. Save the batch page address and sign in with the same account to return. Cancel unfinished work, retry available items, or export the results ready so far. Closing the page does not cancel the server job.
