Where HappyScribe is better
- Live meetings. It joins Zoom, Google Meet and Teams from the calendar, and the phone app records a meeting in the room. Scribiz cannot join a call.
- Subtitles and translation. Transcripts, subtitles and translation sit in one workspace, in 150+ languages.
- A person can check it. Human proofreading is an add-on, from $2 a minute.
- Company paperwork. HappyScribe states SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and EU data residency. Scribiz does not claim any of these yet.
Pick HappyScribe if you want notes from live calls, plus subtitles, translation and human proofreading.
What Scribiz does differently
- Summary and chapters. Paste a YouTube, TikTok or Instagram link, or drop a file. Each result has a summary and chapters tied to a time.
- It reads the screen. In Watch or Both, the text on screen comes back next to what was said, each with its time.
- No captions needed. Scribiz uses captions when a video has them and listens to the audio when it has none.
- Built for agents. Claude, Cursor or Codex can read a video link over MCP. No key needed to start. About the MCP server
