An Otter.ai alternative for recorded video
Otter is a notetaker for live meetings, and it also imports audio and video files. Scribiz reads a video link or a file: what was said, what was on screen, a summary and chapters.

Where Otter is better
- Live meetings. Otter joins Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet and writes the notes, or records from your desktop with no bot in the call. Scribiz cannot join a call.
- After the meeting. Summaries with action items, a chat that searches across all your meetings, and sync to tools like Salesforce and HubSpot.
- Apps everywhere. Desktop apps for Mac and Windows, iOS and Android apps and a Chrome extension.
- A larger free plan for calls. The free plan lists 300 transcription minutes a month.
Pick Otter if your work happens in meetings and you want notes, action items and a searchable history.
What Scribiz does differently
- Video links and files. Paste a YouTube, TikTok or Instagram link, or drop a file.
- No count of files. Otter counts imported files: 3 in total on its free plan, 10 a month on Pro. Scribiz counts minutes, not files.
- It reads the screen. Scribiz can watch a video link. Each scene comes back with the text that appeared on screen.
- Built for agents. Otter's MCP server opens your meetings to an AI chat. The Scribiz one lets Claude, Cursor or Codex read a video link. About the MCP server
